Analysis

Goods are always sampled on arrival and the intake samples are tested in our in-house laboratory for admixture and moisture. This analysis is reported to the customer to inform them whether the goods received are of the quality that they were expecting, it is also used to inform us as to which processes are the most appropriate to achieve the finished goods quality required.

During processing an automatic sampler draws sub-samples every thirty seconds and a 5kg composite sample made from these is analysed for every five tonnes of finished goods processed. Results of these and other tests are reported in a standard format which can be tailored to customers' individual requirements. We also carry out analysis of samples sent to us of goods held by other stores.

Our laboratory is a Defra licensed seed testing station and is TASCC accredited for grain testing. It is also equipped for agricultural soil and tissue testing.
